 📖 Leviticus 8: Ordained for Service

"Set Apart by God, Consecrated for His Glory" 

Mis à part pour Dieu, ordonnés pour Sa gloire


 Aim: To understand the importance of consecration and preparation for ministry as modeled in the ordination of Aaron and his sons.

💡 God’s Attributes:

  • Holy: Demands reverence and separation for service

  • Detail-Oriented: Commands specific steps for ordination

  • Faithful: Establishes leaders to minister on behalf of His people

📌 Facts:

  • Moses publicly consecrates Aaron and his sons as priests

  • Priestly garments, anointing oil, and sacrifices are used in the ceremony

  • Seven days of ordination are observed as commanded by the LORD

  • Obedience is emphasized: “As the Lord commanded Moses” is repeated

🔄 Three Ps in Leviticus 8:

  • Preparation: Priests clothed, washed, and anointed for service

  • Purification: Offerings for sin and atonement are made

  • Public Witness: The ordination is done before the whole assembly

🔍 Insights:

  • Ministry is not casual—it is sacred and requires cleansing, commitment, and calling.

  • God’s leaders must be visibly and spiritually prepared before stepping into service.

  • True service begins with obedience.

🪞 Application:

Whether we are in full-time ministry or daily Christian service, we must value preparation, purity, and obedience. Spiritual readiness is not optional.

Lord, prepare my heart to serve You. Clothe me in righteousness and teach me to walk in Your ways with reverence and humility. Amen.
