To examine Christ’s messages to the churches, highlighting His call to faithfulness, repentance, and perseverance in the face of trials.
God’s Attributes in Revelation 2
- All-Knowing (Omniscient) – Jesus sees the deeds, struggles, and faithfulness of His people (Rev 2:2, 9, 13, 19).
- Righteous Judge – He commends, corrects, and warns His Church (Rev 2:5, 16, 22-23).
- Sovereign and Victorious – He gives eternal rewards to those who overcome (Rev 2:7, 10, 17, 26).
- Holy and True – His judgments and promises are just and unchanging (Rev 2:18).
- The One Who Searches Hearts and Minds – Nothing is hidden from Him (Rev 2:23).
Facts from Revelation 2
π Jesus addresses four churches: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, and Thyatira.
π Each letter follows a pattern: commendation, correction, warning, and promise to overcomers.
π Ephesus had forsaken its first love and was called to repent (Rev 2:4-5).
π Smyrna faced persecution and was encouraged to remain faithful, even to death (Rev 2:10).
π Pergamum tolerated false teachings and was urged to repent (Rev 2:14-16).
π Thyatira had love and faith but allowed immorality and deception (Rev 2:19-22).

✔ Repent and Return – When corrected by the Lord, respond with humility and obedience.
✔ Be a Light in the World – Live out your faith boldly, reflecting Christ’s truth and love.

π₯ Reject Falsehood – Stand firm in God’s truth, avoiding spiritual compromise.

Short Prayer
Lord Jesus, You walk among Your Church, seeing all things. Keep my heart steadfast in love, faith, and truth. Strengthen me to overcome trials and stand firm in righteousness. May I remain faithful to the end and receive the crown of life. Amen.
