To understand how God instructs His people to approach Him with reverence, and how the altar and tabernacle courtyard reflect His provision for atonement and access.
🌟 God's Attributes in Exodus 27:

Holy: God sets sacred boundaries for worship.

Intentional: Every detail matters in God’s design.

Approachable (through sacrifice): God makes a way for His people to draw near.
📌 Facts:

The altar was made of acacia wood and overlaid with bronze.

The courtyard surrounded the tabernacle and was defined by specific dimensions.
-
The oil for the lamp was to be pure olive oil and was to be kept burning continually.
📖 Three Ps:

Promise: God's ongoing presence would dwell among the people through obedience and proper worship.

Principle: Holiness and reverence are required to approach God.

Prophecy: The altar foreshadows Christ, the perfect sacrifice for sin.

The altar of burnt offering was the first object one encountered, sacrifice comes before fellowship.

The courtyard represented a transition from the outside world into God’s holy dwelling, highlighting the process of sanctification.

The continual burning lamp reminds us that God’s presence and truth must be kept alive in our hearts.
