 📖 Exodus 11: The Final Warning: God Prepares for Deliverance


"When God speaks once more, He means it completely."


 Aim: To understand God's justice and mercy in preparing Israel for freedom and warning Egypt of final judgment.

🕊️ God’s Attributes in Exodus 11:

  • Just – He brings consequences for sin and hardened hearts.

  • Merciful – He gives advance warning before judgment.

  • Sovereign – His timing and plans are unshakable.

  • Faithful – He keeps His promise to deliver His people.

📌 Facts from Exodus 11:

  • God announces one more plague: the death of Egypt’s firstborn.

  • Pharaoh’s heart remains hard.

  • The Israelites are told to prepare, and God grants them favor with the Egyptians.

  • Moses speaks God’s final warning to Pharaoh.

🔍 Three Ps:

  • Promise: God promises deliverance for His people and judgment on Egypt’s oppression.

  • Principle: God gives space for repentance before executing judgment.

  • Prophecy: The death of the firstborn is foretold — a pivotal event in redemptive history.

💡 Insights:

  • God’s patience does not cancel His justice.

  • Pharaoh’s pride and resistance mirror the condition of hardened hearts today.

  • God can use the darkest moments to prepare His people for breakthrough.

  • Obedience requires listening even when judgment seems distant or delayed.

🧭 Application:

  • Don’t ignore God’s repeated calls — He warns because He loves.

  • God’s timing is perfect, even when it feels delayed.

  • Value the warnings in Scripture as acts of mercy.

  • God’s favor can rest on His people even in enemy territory.

🤲 Deed:

Take a moment to examine your heart. Are there areas where God has warned you repeatedly? Repent and yield fully to His will. Share God’s truth and mercy with someone today before it's too late.

🙏Prayer:

Lord God, thank You for Your mercy that always warns before You act in judgment. Help me not to harden my heart but to respond with humility and trust. Prepare me for deliverance and help me walk in obedience. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
