"A Call to Repentance Before It’s Too Late!"

Aim

To unveil the horrors of the fifth and sixth trumpet judgments, showing God’s righteous judgment on unrepentant humanity. This chapter serves as a warning of the torment and destruction to come, but also as an urgent call to repentance before the final judgment.

God’s Attributes in Revelation 9

  • Righteous Judge – He allows terrifying judgments upon the wicked (Rev 9:1-12).
  • Sovereign Over All – Even the forces of destruction act within His divine authority (Rev 9:3-4).
  • Merciful – Despite severe judgments, He still gives time for repentance (Rev 9:20-21).
  • Almighty Warrior – His power is greater than the forces of evil (Rev 9:13-19).

📌 The Fifth Trumpet (First Woe) – A star falls from heaven and opens the Abyss, releasing demonic locusts with power to torment those without God’s seal for five months (Rev 9:1-6).
📌 The locusts have scorpion-like tails and are led by Apollyon/Abaddon, the "Destroyer" (Rev 9:7-11).
📌 The Sixth Trumpet (Second Woe) – Four fallen angels are released, leading an army of 200 million demonic horsemen, killing a third of mankind (Rev 9:13-19).
📌 Despite these judgments, humanity refuses to repent of their idolatry, murders, sorcery, sexual immorality, and theft (Rev 9:20-21).

Application – Living It Out

✔ Take sin seriously – Unrepentance leads to destruction.
✔ Share the gospel urgently – Many still need to hear before judgment comes.
✔ Trust in God's protection – Believers are sealed and secure in Christ.
✔ Pray for spiritual awakening – Many hearts remain hardened, but God can save.
✔ Stay spiritually alert – The world is moving toward final judgment.

Deed – Taking Action

🔥 Warn others with love – Tell people about God’s grace and the need for repentance.
🔥 Pray for the lost – Intercede for those who do not yet know Christ.
🔥 Stand firm in faith – No matter what happens, God’s people are protected.
🔥 Live in holiness – Reject idolatry, sin, and worldliness.

Prayer

Lord, I see Your justice and mercy in Revelation 9. Open the hearts of those who do not yet know You. Strengthen me to share the gospel with urgency and to remain faithful in these last days. Amen.
