📖 Revelation 17: The Fall of Babylon – The Judgment of the Great Prostitute

"The world’s corrupt system will fall, but God’s kingdom will reign forever!"

Aim

To understand the symbolism of Babylon, representing the corrupt world system, and the certainty of God's righteous judgment against evil.

God’s Attributes in Revelation 17

  • Sovereign King – He rules over all and His plans will be fulfilled (Rev 17:17).
  • Righteous Judge – He brings justice against wickedness (Rev 17:1).
  • Almighty and Victorious – No power can stand against Him (Rev 17:14).
  • Holy and Faithful – His people are called, chosen, and faithful (Rev 17:14).

Facts from Revelation 17

📌 The "great prostitute" represents Babylon – A symbol of spiritual corruption and idolatry (Rev 17:1-5).
📌 Babylon influences kings and nations – The world follows its immoral ways (Rev 17:2).
📌 The beast and Babylon are connected – Evil powers work together but will ultimately destroy each other (Rev 17:7-13).

✔ Reject worldly corruption – Do not compromise your faith for temporary pleasures.
✔ Stay faithful to Jesus – Be among the "called, chosen, and faithful."
✔ Trust in God’s sovereignty – No matter how chaotic the world seems, His plan will prevail.
✔ Be vigilant against deception – The enemy seeks to lead people astray.
✔ Live for eternity, not temporary gain – Babylon will fall, but God's kingdom remains.

🔥 Evaluate your heart – Are there worldly influences pulling you away from God?
🔥 Encourage someone in faith – Remind them of Christ’s ultimate victory.
🔥 Pray for discernment – Ask God to help you recognize deception and stand in truth.
🔥 Live in holiness – Choose God's kingdom over the world's temptations.

Prayer

Lord, help me to remain faithful and not be deceived by the world's corruption. Strengthen me to stand firm in righteousness and live for Your eternal kingdom. I choose to follow You, the victorious King! Amen.
