"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." – Genesis 1:1

Aim

To understand that God is the sovereign Creator of all things, bringing order, life, and purpose to the universe. This chapter reveals His power, wisdom, and intentional design, setting the foundation for our faith.

God’s Attributes in Genesis 1

  • Creator – He made everything out of nothing (Gen 1:1).
  • All-Powerful – He spoke, and it came to be (Gen 1:3-31).
  • Orderly – He created with precision and purpose.
  • Good – Everything He made was declared “very good” (Gen 1:31).
  • Life-Giver – He created all living things, including humanity (Gen 1:26-28).
  • Blesser – He blessed creation and gave it purpose (Gen 1:22, 28).

✔ Live with purpose – You were created for a reason; seek to glorify God in all you do.

🔥 Be a good steward – Take steps to care for the environment (reduce waste, conserve energy, etc.).
🔥 Encourage someone – Remind them of their value as God’s image-bearer.
🔥 Start your day with gratitude – Thank God for His creation and your life.

Prayer

Father, You are the Creator of all things. Thank You for making the world beautiful and for creating me in Your image. Help me to honor You in how I live, care for Your creation, and reflect Your love to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
